The Prague-based company, which says it has paid more than $650 million to traders since 2015, has launched FTMO Futures, a new futures funding program that combines its familiar evaluation process with a futures-specific payout structure and risk model. The move is significant because FTMO has long been associated with forex, indices, commodities, and CFD trading. By entering futures, the firm is stepping into a highly competitive market currently dominated by companies such as Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, and Take Profit Trader. Why FTMO's Futures Launch Matters Over the last few years, futures prop trading has exploded in popularity. Many traders prefer futures because they trade on regulated exchanges, offer transparent pricing, and avoid some of the concerns associated with OTC CFD markets. Until now, traders who wanted the FTMO experience had to trade CFDs. That changes with the launch of FTMO Futures. The company is positioning the new product as a premium alternative focused on transparent payout rules, a straightforward evaluation process, and a pathway from simulated trading to a live funded account backed by FTMO capital. How does FTMO Futures work? FTMO Futures launches with two account models: Growth and Pro. The Growth account is designed for traders seeking easier funding requirements and faster access to payouts, while the Pro account targets experienced traders looking for higher payout potential and more flexibility. Available account sizes include: $50,000 $100,000 $150,000 Monthly subscription fees range from $119 to $269, depending on the chosen account size and model. One notable difference between the two plans is payout potential. The Growth account starts with a payout cap of $2,500, while the Pro account offers significantly higher caps that can reach $5,000 and $8,000, depending on account configuration. A Feature Many Traders Will Notice: No Consistency Rule on Sim-Funded Accounts One of the most trader-friendly elements of the new program is the removal of the consistency rule after traders pass evaluation. During the evaluation phase, FTMO still applies a consistency requirement: Best day can represent a maximum of 50% of total profits on Pro accounts. Best day can represent a maximum of 40% of total profits on Growth accounts. However, once traders reach the Sim-Funded stage, the consistency rule disappears entirely. That means traders are no longer required to maintain a specific profit distribution pattern before requesting payouts.
