LONDON (MarketsXplora) – Alpha Capital Group, a major proprietary trading firm, said on Tuesday it plans to relaunch services for clients in the United States next month after suspending purchases there in February due to regulatory concerns.

In a post on X, the company said it aims to welcome back U.S. customers in June, when it will also launch a futures trading platform and a new brokerage for client deposits regulated in Seychelles.

“June will be a major month for us as a group welcoming the U.S. back,” Alpha Capital said, adding it had an “exciting new affiliation” to announce as well as a large industry event planned in London.

Alpha Capital was among the prop trading firms that halted new client onboarding from the U.S. earlier this year following a regulatory crackdown on the sector by authorities.

It said at the time the suspension was a response to “market developments” in the U.S., as it sought legal clarification to ensure compliance before resuming services for American clients.

The prop trading industry has come under increased scrutiny from U.S. regulators over issues such as leverage and counterparty risks for retail investors.

In February, trading platform MetaQuotes tightened standards for prop firms, forcing some to cut off certain clients including in the United States.

Alpha Capital said it remained committed to serving U.S. customers and had worked to gather evidence supporting the reopening of its services in that market.
