PARIS (MarketsXplora) – Ledger, a leading name in crypto security, has launched a special edition of its new hardware wallet – the Ledger Flex™ Solana Edition, created in partnership with the Solana Foundation and tailored specifically for the Solana community. The limited-release device is part of a broader campaign to deepen Ledger’s commitment to the fast-growing Solana ecosystem, with a phased, token-gated rollout beginning today.

The Solana Edition marks a milestone for both brands, combining Ledger’s state-of-the-art touchscreen security hardware with Solana’s mobile-first, high-speed blockchain ethos. The product is available exclusively to eligible holders of select Solana-based NFTs and is bundled with up to $70 in SOL, a custom Magnet Folio, and a non-transferable Soulbound Token (SBT).

Exclusive Rewards for Solana Insiders

To qualify for the Phase 1 offer, which runs from May 22 to May 29, users must hold one of three eligible NFTs in a Solana wallet: the Saga Genesis Token, Chapter 2 Preorder Token, or the Superteam Member NFT. Additionally, attendees of the Solana Accelerate event in New York City will have early IRL access.

Holders can claim their bundle by connecting their wallet—Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet—through Ledger’s dedicated claim page. Upon verification, they will receive the Ledger Flex Solana Edition, $70 in SOL, the SBT, and the Magnet Folio case.

The campaign will unfold across four phases:

  • Phase 1 (May 22–29): Targeting early adopters from Solana Mobile and Superteam communities. Reward: $70 SOL + Folio + SBT.
  • Phase 2 (May 29–June 12): Reserved for holders of specific Solana NFTs and tokens, including Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, Monke DAO, and tokens like BONK!, PYTH, Jupiter and more. Reward: $50 SOL + Folio + SBT.
  • Phase 3 (June 12–26): Open to SOL holders. Reward: $20 SOL + Folio + SBT.
  • Phase 4 (from June 26): Open to the broader crypto public. Reward: SBT only.

Each Soulbound Token, while non-transferable, may unlock targeted airdrops, perks, or other community-focused benefits in the Solana ecosystem. However, Ledger makes no guarantees regarding the utility or future value of the SBTs.

Built for the Solana Generation

The Ledger Flex Solana Edition offers the same uncompromising security that Ledger is known for, built around a Secure Element chip (ST33K1M5) and Ledger OS™, with CC EAL6+ certification—the industry’s highest level of hardware security.

The device boasts a 2.84-inch E Ink® touchscreen, which remains visible even when powered off. Users can customize the display with their favorite NFTs or personal images. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity and includes a USB-C port for desktop use.

Compatible with iOS 14+, Android 10+, and 64-bit versions of Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu, the Flex does not support Chromebooks or mining operations. It supports 500+ crypto assets on Ledger Live, and thousands more via third-party wallets, including Ethereum and Polygon NFTs.

Physically, the device measures 78.4mm x 56.5mm x 7.7mm, weighs 57.5g, and includes an aluminum frame with a plastic back. Each bundle ships with a USB-C cable, three recovery sheets, and a user manual.

The Solana Edition is visually distinct, featuring Solana’s signature green and purple accents on the device clip and button. The custom packaging further reinforces the exclusivity and community-centric nature of the release.

Ledger emphasized that the limited run of devices is part of a celebration of Solana’s culture, speed, and convenience, especially its mobile-first focus. “We’re proud to bring together the best of Ledger’s security and Solana’s vision,” said the company in its announcement.

Claiming the bundle involves connecting a qualifying Solana wallet to Ledger’s claim portal. Android users have the option to use a Mobile Adapter for enhanced compatibility, while users experiencing issues can paste the claim URL directly into their wallet’s built-in browser.

With supply limited and rewards structured to decrease in subsequent phases, Ledger encourages eligible users to act quickly. Once sold out, the devices will not be restocked for that phase.
